In 1996 we bought the house situated in the Via Cincuentenario.
The idea was to transform this house in a small office building.
But in the middle of construction we decided to open a typical german restaurant because we have had a lot of space and Karin, the owner is a passionate cook.
This was the birth of "Restaurant Steinbock". At that time exists no other german restaurant in Panama City.
Planned as a "hobby", the restaurant converted into a very popular place for local and international guests.
The most famous known guest is the soccer player Kevin Kurany, who has signed a Soccer-T-Shirt, hanging inside the restaurant.

En 1996 se adquirió el edificio situado en Via Cincuentenario.
Al principio ese edificio era para transformar una vivienda en oficinas.
Pero mientras se daba la reconstrución comprobamos que habià muchísimo sitio.
Karin, la dueña es una buena cocinera, y tomó la decisión de abrir un restaurante tipíco alemán.
Esa fue la hora del nacimiento "Restaurante Steinbock". En ese momento aún no existía un restaurnate alemán en Panamá.
Al principio había sido planeado como un "hobby" apartir de ese momento, el Steinbock se ha convertido en un lugar muy popular, para la gente inter-nacional y local en Panamá.
El cliente más conocido era Kevin Kurany, que dio un autógrafo en un sueter de fútbol que esta colgado en la pared del restaurante.
